Description

The ring that looks like it was cast from a piece of antique lace — because it kind of was.

If you've ever scrolled past a piece of jewellery and thought I've never seen anything quite like that before, that's the reaction we get on this one constantly. It's a ring designed to look like an exact metal cast of a strip of vintage floral lace — the kind you'd find edging an heirloom tablecloth or threaded into the cuff of a christening gown. The intricate flower-and-scallop pattern is preserved in unbelievable detail, right down to the tiny perforations that mimic where the lace thread used to loop and knot. It's not a print, it's not a stamp — the texture is in the metal. Run your fingertip across it and you can feel every little ridge.

It comes in two finishes. The gold version is a warm, properly rich tone — closer to true 18k gold than the pale-yellow cheap-plating look you sometimes see — and the silver version has a clean, slightly satin shine that picks up the lacework beautifully against light skin. Both are copper-based with a thick electroplated finish, sealed with an extra protective coating that helps resist tarnish over time. You'll still want to take it off before showering, swimming, or doing dishes (chemicals and prolonged water exposure will dull any plating over time, no matter how good), but for everyday wear, this one holds up impressively well compared to a lot of plated rings in this price range.

The band is open at the back, which means it's gently adjustable between approximately US 7 (54mm) and US 8 (57mm). To resize, just squeeze the band gently with your fingers to tighten or widen — no tools, no jeweller's visit, no awkward "oh it doesn't fit" moment when you order online. It's especially handy if you've got knuckles slightly bigger than your fingers, because you can open it up to slide it on and then gently snug it back down once it's seated. Just don't bend it back and forth too many times, as with any adjustable ring — set it once for your finger and leave it.

Stylistically, this is the ring you reach for when you want something that feels expensive without looking like every other gold ring on the market. It works gorgeously as a statement piece on the index or middle finger, stacks beautifully next to a plain band on the same finger, and looks particularly lovely paired with a white linen shirt, a vintage slip dress, or really anything with a bit of feminine softness to it. It also photographs ridiculously well — there's a reason we keep using it in the brand campaign shots. The lace texture catches light in a way that flat metal rings just can't.

The design idea behind it goes deep into our brand DNA, honestly. We named it for the déjà vu feeling of looking at a piece of jewellery and being half-certain you've seen it somewhere before — maybe in an old film, maybe in your grandmother's sewing box, maybe in a bridal photograph from the 1930s. Lace has that quality. It's eternally familiar, eternally feminine, and somehow always slightly nostalgic. Translating it into metal felt like the most on-brand thing we could possibly do — taking something soft and ephemeral and making it permanent. A wearable echo of something older than us.

Comes in a Deja vu Jewellery gift box, ready to give as a birthday, anniversary, bridesmaid gift, "thinking of you" gesture, or just-because for yourself.

This is the ring that gets the most "where is that from?" comments out of anything we sell. The vintage-lace texture is genuinely hand-detailed in the casting (not a printed or laser-etched shortcut), and once a run sells out, the next batch takes weeks to come back in. Whether you're after a statement ring for yourself, a bridal-aesthetic moment, or a gift that doesn't look like "another gold ring" — this is the one to grab. Pick gold or silver based on which metal lives closest to your face on a normal day, and you'll wear it constantly.

SIZE GUIDE

Whether you're finding your perfect fit or surprising someone with a gift, our size guide points you in the right direction. Let's see how you measure up.

Find Your Ring Size

The Hands-on Method
Found the perfect ring? Follow these instructions to find your perfect size.

1. Grab a tape measure, length of string or strip of paper.
2. Wrap it around the finger you’ll wear your ring on—if you’re creating a ring stack, consider where on your finger the ring will sit—and mark the place where it joins.
3. Lay your string or paper strip on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the length up to the mark. Use the chart above to match the measurement to the closest ring size.

Measure an Existing Ring
A helpful method if you’re surprising someone with a gift or treating yourself.
Measure an Existing Ring.

1. Choose a ring that already fits your finger well.
2. Measure the interior diameter of the ring in millimeters (mm).
3. Use the measurement chart above to match the size of your ring to the closest size in mm.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This collection is crafted from waterproof 18k Gold PVD Stainless Steel, designed to be lived in. This means you can confidently wear them in the shower, the ocean, and at the gym without worrying about tarnishing or your skin turning green. While they are built to be sweat-proof and life-proof, everyday elements like sunscreen, salt water, and perfumes can dull their sparkle over time. To keep them looking their best, simply give them a quick rinse with warm soapy water after a swim to wash away any residue, and try to avoid direct contact with harsh cleaning chemicals. When not in use, a quick buff with a soft cloth will restore that signature high-shine finish.
