Description

One drop of sea, worn right where everyone can see it.

This pendant is a single natural aquamarine cabochon — an oval of real stone polished into a smooth, luminous dome rather than cut into facets, so the light doesn't flash off it, it sinks in. The blue reads soft, deep and watery, shifting with the light from pale ice to a fuller lagoon tone, with the gentle inner clouds and veils that only natural stone carries. Cabochon-cut aquamarine has that old-soul quality — it's how the stone was worn for centuries before faceting took over — which gives this necklace a quietly vintage, heirloom feel straight out of the box. Very déjà vu, in the best way.

The setting leans into it. The stone sits in a hand-finished sterling silver bezel with a softly irregular, textured edge — not a machine-stamped rim but one with a gently organic, hammered character that frames the dome the way a rockpool frames water. A small polished bail carries it on the chain, and the whole pendant hangs with a lovely, subtle weight.

Then there's the chain, which deserves its own sentence: a round snake chain, that smooth, liquid, almost seamless silver cord that drapes like a single line of light around the neck. It's the most elegant way to carry a solo pendant — no links to distract, just one clean silver stroke with a drop of blue at the end of it. At 39.5cm plus a 5cm extender it sits high near the base of the throat or drops a touch lower, whichever suits your neckline, with a secure clasp at the back.

Aquamarine is the sea's own gem — named for seawater itself, carried for centuries as a token of calm, and the birthstone for March. Against skin the effect is honestly a bit unfair: the cool blue and bright silver flatter fair complexions and absolutely glow against olive and sun-deep tones, which is why it's the piece we'd pack for every warm holiday and wear straight through winter anyway. Solid 925 sterling silver throughout keeps it kind to sensitive skin and polishable back to new for years.

A single still drop of ocean on a thread of silver — calm, luminous, and quietly unforgettable.

Each pendant is bezel-set by hand, and because every aquamarine cabochon is natural, no two carry the same blue or the same soft inner weather — the one that arrives will be one of one. It pairs beautifully with our Lagune aquamarine studs (same stone, same textured silver) for a matched set, and each batch of stones this even in colour is small. If this blue has caught you, catch it back.

CARE INSTRUCTION

Sterling silver is a precious mental and may require cleaning from time to time. Using the polish cloth given gently rub the silver several times, rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water and then carefully dry. This will remove the tarnish and dullness, keeping your sterling silver like new. When you are not wearing your piece, you can store it in the pouch provided to help minimize tarnishing. Please note, chorine and bleach accelerate tarnishing and should be avoided.
